Social problem-solving ability has implications for all areas of life, including interpersonal and work-related relationships. The Social Problem Solving Inventory–Revised (SPSI–R™) helps you determine an individual's problem-solving strengths and weaknesses so that deficits can be addressed and treatment progress can be tracked. It is suitable for educational, health care, corrections, or business environments with people who want to explore and develop their social problem-solving skills.

Social Problem Solving Inventory–Revised: Long (SPSI–R:L)
The SPSI–R:L provides a more detailed assessment with scores for all of the five scales, as well as scores for the four Rational Problem Solving subscales.
Social Problem Solving Inventory–Revised: Short (SPSI–R:S)
The SPSI–R:S measures the same five scales as the long version, but it does not break down the Rational Problem Solving scale into subscale scores. It is ideal for repeat administration during treatment to track progress.
The SPSI–R is a self-report instrument that consists of a long (SPSI–R:L) and short (SPSI–R:S) version. Both versions are available in handscored format with MHS QuikScore™ forms. With the QuikScore™ Form, raw scores are easily calculated and converted to standard scores.
The SPSI–R was developed following rigorous test-development procedures. The manual covers the historical foundation upon which SPSI–R is based and offers five case studies that illustrate the interpretation and use of SPSI–R results in different situations.
Evaluation of the psychometric properties of SPSI–R among various diverse populations suggests that it is characterized by strong internal consistency and is stable over time. Further, it has strong structural, concurrent, predictive, convergent, and discriminant validity. Detailed data is presented in the SPSI–R Technical Manual.
